A clit shield is a piece of bondage gear that is more like a body piercing and it used as a type of chastity device. A clit shield is designed to cover the clitoris in order to prevent direct stimulation to this erogenous zone.

A clit shield works by acting as a clitoral hood or cover and is usually made of metal. Clit shields are held in place by body piercings, which do cause indirect stimulation, as well as stimulation to the other, surrounding, erogenous zones.
